Job Description

The Ecommerce Fulfillment Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely processing and fulfillment of online customer orders. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with the team to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The Ecommerce Fulfillment Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end order fulfillment process, from order receipt to delivery confirmation, while maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Processing and Management:

  • Receive, review, and process online customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor order queues and ensure that orders are prioritized and fulfilled according to established service level agreements.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to resolve any order-related issues or discrepancies.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate stock levels, availability, and product information on the website.
  • Work within our Freshline systems to manage orders and presentation of products on the ecommerce ordering site.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize errors, discrepancies, and shrinkage.

Shipping and Logistics:

  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics partners to schedule and track shipments.
  • Ensure orders are packed, labeled, and shipped correctly, adhering to quality standards and shipping regulations.
  • Monitor and optimize shipping costs while maintaining delivery timelines and service levels.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate order fulfillment processes.
  • Analyze order fulfillment metrics and identify areas for improvement or potential bottlenecks.
  • Generate regular reports on order status, fulfillment efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Team Management:

  • Lead and supervise the team to assist with order fulfillment, providing guidance and minor training.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and streamlining to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent order fulfillment operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary degree (or in the process of attaining) in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in order fulfillment management, preferably in an e-commerce or online retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of order management systems (OMS), inventory management systems (IMS), and e-commerce platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications, including MS Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with shipping and logistics processes, including carrier negotiations and transportation management.
  • A willingness and ability to jump in and assist the team around the facility during slow periods.
  • Ability to troubleshoot
